Vice President, Innovative Product Development at Altria
Richard Jupe serves as Vice President, Innovative Product Development for Altria Client Services, which provides professional services and support to Altria Group and its operating companies. In this role, Richard leads the work to provide an expansive portfolio of product experiences with the potential for FDA authorized reduced harm claims for Altria’s family of companies.
Richard has held numerous roles within RD&E for the Altria family of companies since joining Philip Morris USA (PM USA) in 1995. These include smokeable product development, specification management, RD&E Quality and Compliance, and packaging development for Altria’s tobacco operating companies.
A strong believer in supporting diversity and inclusion, Richard has held key roles in several of Altria’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) including the Women’s Network and EAST, Altria’s Asian ERG in which he was one of the charter members.
Richard has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been awarded multiple patents from the United States Patent Office for a variety of innovative product applications[CSF"(1] .
Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
