Carlos Fonseca has a deep expertise in Global Marketing Strategy, Consumer Insights and Data Analytics. Having worked and lived in more than 15 countries, he is a true global citizen passionate about building businesses and brands by harnessing the power of data analytics and consumer insights.
As Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Science he developed a new set of capabilities and a high performance team key to transform and modernize MetLife and the insurance industry. These capabilities have enabled MetLife's brand relaunch and value proposition optimization across markets, the activation of the customer experience management and NPD areas and the development of segmentation, attribution and mix models to guide corporate and marketing investment.
Previous to MetLife, he was Global Vice-President for Knowledge and Insights at The Coca Cola Co. and Marketing Group Head for Strategy, Planning and Analytics at MasterCard Worldwide. While at MasterCard he was instrumental in pioneering digital-first activations for the Priceless Campaign via transactional analytics. Carlos spent his early career formative years in brand management and finance positions working for FMCG and financial companies, including Procter & Gamble and Citigroup.
He is very interested in the role that new technologies and media play in changing consumer behaviors, particularly in the area of Fintech /Payments and in its applications to promote financial inclusion and community empowerment. Carlos is a graduate in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, with postgraduate studies at Georgetown University and Insead.
