FEI Takes You through the Entire Innovation Process...
Design thinking can and should be an effective tool for unlocking nascent innovation opportunities. So why is there so much uncertainty around how design thinking should work? This section of the program will focus on how human needs need to weigh in on the innovation practice in the form of design thinking, and what it takes to transform the business mindset to get there. Our speakers will make the business case that innovation should be 1% idea and 99% design thinking.
Customer Driven Innovation
Users are key driving factors in the market success or failure of new products and services. These sessions focus on going beyond traditional insights and integrating customers intensively into the innovation process for market-oriented innovation wins.
Disruptive Trends & Tech/Growth Strategy
The innovation landscape is changing fast. Innovators must learn how to work alongside the technologies that will shape their product/service/experience innovations of the future. This section of the program will focus on the trends coming down the line, hot tech sectors to be aware of, and how to link them all to innovation growth strategy.
Sparking Cultural Change
The common thread across all innovative organizations lies in strong leadership, high performing teams, and an environment that empowers, promotes, and accelerates the development of leaders as people. These sessions help you transform from a process driven corporate office into a collaborative and creative solutions center by concentrating on people rather than processes.
Business Model Innovation
Feeling unprepared as nimble disruptors come in and force your company to rethink everything? Business model innovation can be a powerful way to breakthrough, but in reality, many conventional business models today often effectively impede innovation. The ability to invent and implement new business models is what truly separates leading companies from followers.
Particular focus in 2017 will be given to LEAN and SPRINT methodologies
De-Risking Open Innovation and Partnering with Startups
The innovation function at large corporations is by nature fast-moving and volatile, building and executing initiatives and new processes to foster new ideas internally and collaborate with innovators from outside the four walls. However, the bureaucracy and conservative thinking that plagues large corporations often filters into innovation teams, the very units that were built to combat the issue. This day will center around strategies for open innovation leaders to de-risk external collaborations and usher in more efficient pathways into their core organizations.
FEI is absolutely necessary for seeing future trends in innovation. The industry is getting more and more fragmented, so having a conference like this to navigate the complexity is worth every penny in my opinion. It's one of the most powerful ways to stay ahead of competition and stay relevant and creative in our offerings.
FEI 2017 Attendee
This was my first time attending FEI and I am so glad I did. I am newer to the industry and doing all I can to take it all in. FEI was a great way to quickly immerse myself in the content while surrounded by experienced and knowledgeable resources. The speakers were informative and so inspiring.
FEI 2017 Attendee
FEI is more than a conference, it is a platform designed for people around the world for experiencing their own create and innovative leadership skills. FEI inspires people in many ways and offers them something to take home for their business.
FEI 2017 Attendee
FEI is a great forum to focus the mind on innovation for a few days with people who are the same, yet different. Most of all, I learned more about myself as an innovator - and that should be invaluable to any company that truly values, and wants to drive a culture conducive to innovation.
