Mark Bünger helps clients manage moonshot programs, with strategies and research in deep tech: science-driven technologies that will have disruptive impacts on commercial markets. For 12 years before joining iLab, Mark was VP of Research at Lux Research, where he launched the company's biosciences and digital practices and consulting team, and led the futures and foresight service. He started coverage of biochemical computing as a principal analyst at Forrester Research in 2005, and before that worked as a managing director at Icon Medialab in Sweden, and technology project manager at Accenture. He was the technical co-founder of an early online payment company, SoftCoin (acquired by US retail giant Kroger) and was Chairman of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce. In addition to studying business at the University of Texas and Mälardalen Polytechnic (Sweden), he worked in neurology and nanobioengineering labs at the University of California San Francisco.
