Santhi S. Ramesh brings over 20 years of marketing and innovation experience to her position as Global Head of Strategy and Innovation. Prior to joining The Hershey Company, Santhi was focused on creating consumer centric business opportunities at Colgate-Palmolive, McCain Foods and Wal-Mart. She is an expert in creating global brand and new market entry strategies that drive growth, championing experimentation to deliver innovation, crafting integrated marketing communication plans, collaborating with key retailers and elevating marketing capability to high performance levels. Santhi has a track record of delivering market share growth and profitability in multiple industries with established, developing and emerging brands. In her current role, Santhi leads a global team to uncover unmet and unarticulated consumer needs, identify futuristic technologies, nurture incubator business models, champion sprint initiatives and commercialize actionable customer-centric solutions globally. Her innovations have consistently resulted in concept success rate of 70%, incremental shelf space of 60% and reduction in cost of development by 50%. Santhi is a graduate of the MBA program at University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. In her spare time, she volunteers her marketing services to entrepreneurs in Africa. Passionate about teaching, she is happiest when she is lecturing in universities and gaining inspiration from the diverse ideas of students.
