Digital Experience Design Lead/Content Strategist at Wells Fargo
Alan Segal has always walked the line where emerging media meet human behavior. The designer of groundbreaking 1:1 direct response and interactive TV tests in New York in the ‘80’s (for Saks Fifth Avenue, Nissan, and others), Alan relocated to L.A. and led design of the original Toyota.com from 1995-1999 (at Saatchi & Saatchi). Tapped by Saatchi management to design self-service tools for Telecom New Zealand’s website, Alan relocated temporarily, then returned to L.A. to serve as Director of New Media Strategy. One more move to the Bay Area to join the “dot.com boom” led to consulting within digital agencies and client-direct (dba The Offswitch) – for brands including Charles Schwab, DirecTV, eBay, Google, HP, P&G, Quaker, Samsung, and Walmart – before joining Wells Fargo’s in-house Digital Experience Design team in 2015. Alan also keeps learning and honing his perspectives by teaching, as an adjunct lecturer at San Francisco State’s College of Extended Learning.
