TRICIA MELTON Senior Vice President, Marketing, Creative & Branding, Freeform Tricia Melton is senior vice president, Marketing, Creative & Branding, Freeform, reporting to Tom Ascheim, president, Freeform. In her role, Melton leads the creative marketing vision for Freeform and most recently spearheaded the rebrand of the network and implementation of the new tagline “A Little Forward.” She is responsible for the strategic execution of all marketing activities, including media planning, integrated marketing, audience development, franchise and brand management, and promotional partnerships. Prior to Freeform, a significant part of Melton’s career was at Turner Broadcast Network in the role of senior vice president of Entertainment Marketing and Branding. She led the strategic and creative development of network campaigns, branding and interactive/social marketing initiatives to complement the programming on TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies. During her time at Turner, Melton oversaw TNT’s re-brand, as well as led award-winning marketing initatives for such shows as “The Closer,” “Rizzoli & Isles” and “Dallas.” For TBS, Melton made large strides for the network in the social space by developing a social brand strategy that increased the networks scocial reach by 600% and engagement by 150%. She also developed and led the award-winning launch of TBS’s late-night series “Conan.” Additionally, Melton served as vice president of marketing for multiple networks including Lifetime Television, Oxygen Media, Food Network and Channel One Networks. Afterwards she ran her own company for over two years, successfully advising C-level executives on brand building and content strategies across multiple platforms. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English literature from University of Montevallo.
