Olaf Schulzeck works in the Life-Science industry for 25 years and has been leading organizations in various global, regional and local roles across different geographies. He held multiple strategic, business development and commercial positions with increasing responsibility in the Pharmaceutical, Diagnostic and Medical Device industry segments. Olaf holds a master degree of science in Biology specialized in Genetics and Cell Biology and spent most of his career with Hoffmann-La Roche (Roche) a leading global healthcare company headquartered in Switzerland. Since 2014 he has been working as General Regional Manager Middle-East in Dubai is responsible for Roche´s Pharmaceutical business in a cluster of Middle-East countries.
Having worked across multiple disease areas such as Diabetes Care, Oncology and Multiple Sclerosis Olaf´s motivation is to make a difference for patient´s lives, striving to improve access and affordability of innovative medicines and diagnostics. Being an entrepreneur, he enjoys the challenge of working in environments characterized by rapid change and high complexity. In this context, he is energetic about the opportunities for the future of health care driven by increasing availability of digital solutions at the crossroads of technology, data science, and patients.
Olaf mobilizes his teams to challenge the status quo to find better and innovative solutions that fulfill patient´s and their caregiver's needs. He believes that high performing agile teams are based on empowerment, trust, and active collaboration. In this context he has been acting as a catalyst and change agent for cultural and organizational transformations to form agile, collaborative organizations that have a joint focus on providing customer need-based solutions. Part of the foundation for this effort has been a broader initiative designed to help the organization developing the mind-sets and capabilities they need in both personal and organizational transformation.
