Group Marketing Manager at Gulf News
A career marketer Matthew has over 15 years’ experience in both b2c and b2b marketing across digital and traditional media and is currently Group Marketing Director for Gulf News Media, publisher of the Gulf News and a portfolio of consumer and lifestyle brands across the Middle East.
Matthew joined GN Media in January 2016 with a brief to design the audience and commercial marketing strategies across the GNM portfolio with a particular focus on building the group’s content marketing and creative solutions offering whilst driving digital audience growth and engagement. A current focus being how audience data and innovation in content can help brands drive better customer engagement and campaign effectiveness.
Matthew previously worked in the UK as Head of Marketing & Communications for Johnston Press Plc, the UK’s leading regional media group having worked for them in various Regional Marketing & Commercial Director roles. Prior to that Matthew was with the Daily Mail General Trust, publisher of the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and Metro and led their Trade and Retail Marketing function
