Director, Cultural Anthropology at Team One
Steven is an academically trained cultural anthropologist with over eleven years of experience in advertising. At Team One, he leads the cultural anthropology practice, which provides cultural insights and qualitative research for brand strategy, positioning, and campaign planning. He is also responsible for Team One’s newest thought leadership initiative Communitas, bi-annual ethnographic investigations into cultural phenomena impacting consumers and the luxury market. Prior to joining Team One, Steven held several strategy roles at creative agencies, including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, David&Goliath, Venables Bell & Partners, and RPA. He has helped lead strategy on a variety of clients across several categories, including luxury brands, casual dining, financial services, technology, and automotive. When not studying people, Steven can be found attending concerts, reading the New York Times, getting another stamp on his passport, or sipping a glass of tequila on the rocks.
