Founded by Tom H. C. Anderson on LinkedIn in 2007, NGMR was among the marketing research industry’s very first online professional networking communities and quickly became home to market researchers who were, frankly, uninspired by the status quo in consumer insights. Anderson at the time explained, “The market has changed, customers have changed, but market research has changed little since the mid-90s and still offers only ‘1.0 insights.’ We need to get smarter or get left behind.”
