Profile
Mina Sfondilis is the Director of R&D Consumer Strategy driving human centricity for R&D. She has been working in the consumer space for the last 24 years with PepsiCo. Much of her time was spent in the Sensory & Consumer Product Insights team where she led the Early Stage of Innovation team, and built a global team across R&D to drive breakthrough innovation. Mina has contributed to many successful food and beverage launches over the years and has won 2 Academy of Sciences Awards in 2011, and most recently in 2017 for the Gatorade Protein bar. She is involved in external organizations such as ESOMAR- a Market Research Organization which strives to advance, and elevate consumer research worldwide. She has been a speaker, a member of the program committee (Germany, 2016), the program committee Chair (Portugal, 2017 & Virtually, 2020), and has facilitated many Client-Side events (CLICK) across several industries such as Airline, Self-Care, and Technology Industries to identify and address obstacles in consumer research. Mina is a licensed mental health professional with degrees in Psychology. She has a BS from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and an MS from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to PepsiCo she was a psychotherapist at New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL; and Lincolnwood Behavioral Health Center in Lincolnwood, IL.
